It is not surprising therefore that the 30s, 40s, and 50s vintage styles have made such a huge come-back in recent years. Seeing a return of natural curves, natural women and fun and elegant fashions is a true delight to women and men alike, and I am excited.
Since I was a child I have adored the style of the women of the golden age of Hollywood and of the showgirls of Europe. I loved escaping into the elegance of film stars such as Liz Taylor, Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth, and Jean Harlow, when I saw them I knew at least a part of who I was going to be when I was a 'big girl'.

Summer 2011

I began collecting clothing from the 1920's- 1950's. Mere collecting took hold of me, and I quickly found myself learning the details of dressing vintage, and proceeded to dress in the style daily. I learned women were immaculately dressed from head to toe. I loved how marvelous the elegant foundations were. Girdles, garter belts, corsets, and nylon full fashioned stockings, danced in my head!

An authentic vintage style is of course not complete without vintage style make-up and hair.

This is my everyday look, not a costume just for photos. I feel out of place in jeans and a T-shirt and love the feeling of vintage silk over any other sensation in the whole wide world. Most of my authentic vintage pieces comes from vintage stores. I wear what I wear because it suits me and makes me feel good about myself. The thing that makes me happiest is scouring flea markets, vintage stores and garage sales for the perfect pieces to add to my wardrobe.

It isn't everyday I get in front of a camera and make aim to strut my stuff. It's not a photo everyday; it's a collection of spontaneous pictures.

Dress for what your figure is, not for what you want it to be. I’ve always had a fascination with customs and styles that have gone out of fashion. I love wearing the history. I aspire to look soft, romantic and nostalgic.
